Jan van der Crabben recommended this book on 01 August 2011
The British Museum is one of the best places in the world to examine, study, and appreciate the reliefs from Assyrian palaces. For all those who do not have frequent access to the British Museum (ie. anybody who does not live around London), this book is probably the best alternative to approach the subject.
The exhibits from the museum are expertly photographed in high resolution and reprinted in large scale in this book. Of course they are accompanied by descriptions and explanations of the subjects they protray, as well as their history, meaning, and significance.
